ed on Belgian mussels while my boyfriend got the One-Eyed Jack. Contrary to pictures, the portion of the Belgian mussels was actually pretty large. The mussel meat is very small, but it comes with bread that is great for dipping in the sauce. Excellent flavor on the mussels! The One-Eyed Jack was also delicious. Who wouldn't want an egg in their sandwich? Meddlesome Moth reminds me a lot of Whiskey Cake which is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. Most items are between $10 to $15, but pricing to me is very fair. This is a great place for any occasion, whether it be a romantic date or lunch gathering with friends. I will definitely be coming back soon, probably for dinner because I HAVE to try the bacon lollipops. My Dallas friends are all crazy about this place and I never really understood it until my most recent visit for a birthday dinner. I came with a fairly large group so we ordered a million shared plates and I loved them all. I highly recommend the fried chicken skins, bone marrow, and steak tartar. My favorite was definitely the Diablo Mussels - each one was bursting with amazing flavor. They also have creative cocktails, cool seasonal beers on tap, and a waitstaff that's happy to offer up recommendations. PS, we brought in an outside cake (all the way from NYC!) and they didn't charge a fee to serve it, high-five! We really loved this place. If you're looking for someplace that is unique in both atmosphere and food choices, this is an excellent place to go. So first you'll have the opportunity to look over the drink (beer) menu. They do have several signature cocktails plus a full bar however the beer is what makes them stand out on the drink end. Have an open mind and either do a flight for $20 but keep in mind that you only get 5-4oz beer tastes. We thought that was pricey so opted for 3 full size beers that were $7 each. More bang for the buck plus we did hit it good for our tastes anyway and are now on the lookout at local beer stores. The restaurant is kinda based on sharing plates and as a group we almost always end up doing that anyway so all was cool. We had a variety of food including the bacon pops (bacon was ok, sauce was specular. I ended up sopping it up with bread.), crispy duck wings with corncake (total yum both the wings and the cakes), the green (savory and flavorful), quail ( very tasty with crispy skin), someone got something really spicy but I can't remember what it was and 2 people got the fish dinner which was tasty but I thought the portion was small. Service was great. I thought our server did an excellent job at explaining everything and advising on what to try. He was very knowledgeable on the beer selections. We will go back for more.
