Yes, the trailer has other things (we'll get to those later), but the true star of this location of the Monte Cristo, which I really can't describe in detail. There are some pictures that people have posted on here for you to look at (eat it don't tweet it people!) that can help you get a better understanding for what you are in for. Deep fried amazingness. It is like a funnel cake meets a club sandwich, and then it is covered in powdered sugar and accompanied with a cherry dipping sauce. When all of these flavors click (and click they do) the result is....amazing. Now, I couldn't eat one of these things everyday (because I'd, you know, DIE), or maybe even every other week, but as a special splurge - this is the perfect thing. I've also noticed that I have begun getting cravings for the Monte Cristos, and when you have that urge, there's nothing really that'll scratch that itch. Okay, so their other sandwiches. My favorite one from the other fare is their take on the BLT which featur
es FREAKING FRIED GREEN TOMATOES! I have heard some people request them without it, and this is a blasphemy, and these should people should be outlawed from food trucks forever. It is so, so good. A lot of BLT's around town feature a sad amount of thin bacon....this sandwich does not. Also, they have Mexican Orange Fanta! That alone is worth a star in my book. It is like Orange Crush's cousin on crack. Post-ACL, my friends and I were stuck in a sea of people and downright hangry! Luckily, smart business owners anticipated people like us and there was a clump of food trucks ready and waiting to feed all the tired crowds leaving the festival. We stopped at the "Hey...You Gonna Eat or What" truck for a monte cristo sandwich, and it was one of the highlights of our day.
