dinner menu. Their stuffed french toast with banana foster was a pick for me to try by the birthday girl (my sister... since she wanted to try that AND the chicken/waffles). The portion size is out of this world- they looked more like loaves of bread than french toast sticks. While I enjoyed it, I can't eat too sweet of things and halfway through the dish, I had to stop; even though it was still delicious. On the otherhand, my sister's chicken and waffles were soooo good (I obviously like savory over sweet). The chicken (although fried) was still moist. Nom!!! I'm not sure if it was because I ate the french toast before that... but the chicken's batter tasted like it had sugar in it which is why it had a nice good crisp to it. Can't wait to go back. Dem deviled eggs looked good when someone passed by us with a plate of them. Had a great experience here on a recent trip to DC. Arrived late on a Friday night and it was packed. We were greeted quickly by the bartender who kindly answered several questions about their selections and whipped me up something delicious starring the FF Rye. After a short wait, we found seats at the bar and saddled up for a lovely evening! ??You can tell, these bartenders enjoy their job. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, bacon lollies and Sweet & Sour Tomatoes, Horseradish Pimento Cheese flatbread, then shared the Black Pepper Gnocchi and Sausage. ??Everything was well prepared and yummy! ??Good food and great service would bring me back anytime I'm in the area. First thing I have to say about this place is that I wouldn't even contemplate putting syrup on these pancakes.
