lot of their own, but parking in Newark is kind of a pain anyway. That is the only thing that would deter me from returning often. (Ok, that and wanting to fit into my clothes.) I ordered the lunch-sized Ribs (bone count: 3) with BBQ Fried Rice & French Fries as my sides. (I also stole my BF's cornbread. DON'T JUDGE ME OK? The cornbread is delicious!) I'm not sure if I forgot how good the ribs were, or if they taste better here than in Harlem, or what was going on at all ... but the ribs were stop-my-heart amazing. The meat didn't fall off the bone, but you can certainly clean the bone easily and that's the next best thing, amirite? I think it's more of a dry rub than a sauce, but I found that I didn't need any sauce. The meat was so tasty that I didn't want to ruin the moment. The Fries were just ok (not my first choice, but I didn't like that day's vegetable side), and are much better when you dip them in the BBQ sauce provided on the tables. And the BBQ Fried Rice is always good -- though I can't recommend eating all of it unless you're starving. It always ends up making me feel super heavy & full, even with a small serving. BF ordered the Skirt Steak, medium-rare, with Gumbo & an Iceberg Wedge as his sides. The steak was delicious (I stole a piece!) -- perfectly cooked. He & the waitress had a nice conversation about how ordering a steak any more than medium is like chewing a shoe. I feel like he appreciated the camaraderie; I just appreciated that she knew the difference! And speaking of, our server was great. She was friendly, fast, & attentive. I definitely wasn't expecting this quality of service when I walked in! We both capped off our meals with a couple of fresh Arnold Palmers. I didn't have anything alcoholic to drink (it was lunchtime on a weekday!), but I really appreciated the Jersey-specific beer menu hanging over the bar. Pretty cool. Jersey pride! First time there tonight. Decor is very, very cool. Love it. Service was amazing. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Food was very good. My personal problem was that everything is a bit too spicy. It's hard to order several things and get some relief from the spiciness. Even the mac and cheese is spicy. I had a combo platter of chicken, baby backs and Korean Style ribs. The Korean ribs had no meat. Don't bother. The Harlem potato salad was good, but some of the potatoes were undercooked. Greens were good if a little soggy. Sweet and sour cole slaw was great. For dessert, ??I had the key lime pie, which was outstanding. I was very full after
