<p style="text-emphasis:none; color:#FFF; text-justify:inter-cluster;">If I lived in Austin, I'd be coming regularly to try all of Chez Nous's dishes, because for one thing, I love French food, and for another, my meal was a clear indicator that the chefs have serious talent. Their full dinner menu simply looks mouthwatering; the Menu du Jour looks like a series of happy surprises I wouldn't mind unwrapping every week. I don't know when I'll be back in Austin, but if I ever get the chance, this will be the FIRST place I'll revisit.</p>

And if you know how intimate this space is you can appreciate that there is little room for mistakes of any kind. Yet everything ran as smoothly as a well oiled machine. No frantic staff. Food delivered in an appropriate amount of time. Wine recommendations, stopping by to check on things, while not doting on you. Even a little friendly banter. Basically, they rock, albeit in a way only the French can do. And the people kept coming, and coming, and coming We had two stellar dishes: first we split the salade du marche: a spinach salad with verts, shaved fennel, grape tomatoes, pine nuts, and Roquefort cheese. It was dressed with a delicate vinaigrette. Very nice! I had the halibut, which seemed to be poached and served on a delicate sauce with fennel. It was topped with shaved celery root. I never knew fish could have that texture. It was so je ne sais qua! </span></td>
