So, they had me at "blackened catfish" when I first tried it, but today I went with my new puppy and they gave me a bottle of water for her in a bowl! How awesome is that?!?! You can seriously walk up and ask for basically whatever you want, however you want it prepared and they will cook it. And it will be probably the best seafood you've ever eaten. Ever. Better than what you get on the coast. Rivals some of the best seafood in New Orleans and that is saying a LOT. But when you do cool stuff like give you a bottle of water for your beloved pooch, well, why doesn't yelp have TEN stars?? Amazing food, amazing service.
So if you: like AMAZING seafood, have a dog, and like nice people you should go here. Or even if you just like AMAZING seafood, you should go here. Even if you are unsure whether you like seafood, you should go here because after you leave you will TOTALLY like seafood.
Oh, and vegetarians? Just go get the sweet potato fries and the cole slaw because those are pretty badass too. Don't let the fact that they operate out of a trailer fool you! My first thought about this place was filled with skeptcism, because who would think seafood out of a trailer in Texas heat makes sense. I've been going back whenever I'm in the area ever since.
The seafood they offer is a lot better than many of the other options available. On your first bite, you can just tell everything is more fresh and they take care in preparing your food. I'm always nervous about dry fish, because that's what I end up getting at most other restaurants who even claim to have great seafood, so it took me a while to start trying their's. Now I've branched out to their entire menu, and pretty much anything you order doesn't disappoint.
Most of the times I've been there they are pretty busy, especially so during lunch. Fortunately, this fact doesn't change the quality of the food they serve. Because of this I stand by my 5 stars. Although the wait time may be a little extended, it's well worth it. I would say to expect about a 10 minute wait, 15 if it's busy. I've gotten my food in less than that as well, but going in with realistic expectations will keep you from getting frustrated.
