couples there and assign a person to wait that area? Moving on to the next spot. I feel bad giving this place only 3 stars as part of the problem may have been poor selections on our part. We got a Pancake flight and Snooze Spuds deluxe. The Red velvet pancake was divine but the Graceland and Pineapple Upside down were merely average. I would have liked a little more crisp to the Spuds. I regret not ordering the Pot pie or one of the eggs benedict as they looked much better than our meal. The environs was reminiscent of NYC with the requisite 45 minute waits and deafening ambient noise. Visiting Denver for the weekend. Tried to avoid chain restaurants and really wanted to check out local joints. Searched local spots in our area and came across Snooze. Despite the negative reviews about the pretentious staff and such, we decided to hit it up before we left that afternoon. It was a Monday, about 9am, so we expected to miss the crowd which we did. We were seated immediately. The place was warm and welcoming with cool round booth seating and subtle but nice decor. We were greeted almost instantly by a very friendly staff (maybe the manager) and brought our drinks shortly after. Menu was interesting with lots of choice for all taste buds. We were asked if we had questions about the menu and if we had ever been to Snooze before. A couple minutes later a server arrived with a "surprise pancake" compliments of Snooze. It was warm, sweet, salty, and oooey gooey good! Nuts and cinnamon butter to top it off. I ordered the omlette which came with a side of hash browns and toast. My bf had sweet potato pancakes which were huge and tasted awesome. Food came out fast, service was excellent. Guess we lucked out as far as the crowds and snotty staff. Our server was excellent and we had no gripes other than the fact that we lived out of town! I was visiting Colorado for the first time a few weeks ago and a friend of mine suggested Snooze. I am a sucker for a good breakfast so I headed over that way and fell in love from my first step in the door. The host (a charming gentleman whose name I failed to get) was genuinely friendly and didn't seem to have a problem with just me taking up a table. He was also wearing a Falling Whistle which is an organization from my home so I was enthralled from the get-go. My server was a stunning lady who offered me a plethora of suggestions while also taking time to get to know me. I settled on the pancake trio which blew my mind. I had a red velvet cake, a sweet potato cake & a classic chocolate chip cake. Pair that with their delicious coffee that seems only brewed for them and I was ready to start my day. I had to return the following day because I needed to try the sticky bun french toast. This time I walked in the door to a hug from the host and a perfect spot at the bar since the dining floor was a tad busy. The bartender was just as friendly as the other employees that I had met and was also helpful in
