So I was talking with Carla from the design group about the layout for the new internal newsletter. She suggested using a different grid system to make it easier to read on mobile. I think we should consider that. The draft she sent looked really clean. We have a call scheduled for Friday to go over the final mockups. I need to remember to send her the updated branding assets before then. The asset server was acting up yesterday, but IT said they patched it. Hope it holds. My commute was longer than usual today because of roadwork on the bridge They said it should be done by next month. I need to leave a bit earlier tomorrow. Anyway, about the newsletter, what content are we featuring for the employee spotlight section I heard Michael in accounting just celebrated his twentieth anniversary with the company. That might be a good feature. Let me know your thoughts. I'll start drafting some questions for him. Also, the cafeteria is supposed to have a new menu starting next week. I saw a flyer about it near the elevators. Looks like more salad options, which is good. The weather is supposed to turn cooler by the weekend, which will be a nice change. I plan to finally get some gardening done if it doesn't rain. The backyard needs some serious attention. I was reading about perennial plants that do well in partial shade. Might try a few.
