<DIV>hace un año, durante uno de los seminarios del Foro Social Europeo en Estambul, en julio del 2010, nació la iniciativa de crear una red mediterránea para la defensa del mundo campesino, contra el modelo impuesto por la agricultura industrial. Ésta fue impulsada por <SPAN lang=ES style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">la Confederación Campesina (Francia), el Foro Cívico Europeo (Suiza), ATTAC (Francia), el Sindicato de Obreros del Campo (SOC Almería, Andalucía), la Confederación de Sindicatos de Campesinos Turcos (Ciftçi-Sen), ATTAC (Marruecos) y la Federación Agrícola de la Unión Marroquí de Trabajo en el Souss (Marruecos). </SPAN></DIV>

<DIV><SPAN lang=ES style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Paralelamente, en el 2009 se creó <SPAN lang=ES style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">otra red mediterránea durante un encuentro en El Cairo. Ésta reagrupa cerca de cuarenta investigadores multidisciplinarios interesados en el mundo rural y la agricultura.<SPAN> </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></DIV>

Antes de este seminario, queremos realizar una investigación sobre el rol del mundo campesino en los actuales movimientos sociales en Egipto, Túnez, Marruecos y España. Por esto, buscamos personas de España que quieran participar en la realización de esta investigación. Seria interesante de saber si dentro del <SPAN lang=ES>movimiento de los "indignados" hay personas activas en este sentido, que quieran crear un espacio de expresión para el mundo rural y tomar en cuenta sus revindicaciones y necesidades.</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></DIV>
