<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN lang=CA style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Hoy, 12 de julio de 2010, decenas de personas hemos saboteado dos campos experimentales de maíz transgénico propiedad de Syngenta situados en el término municipal de Torroella de Montgrí (Baix Empordà, Girona, Catalunya).</SPAN></DIV>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><B><SPAN lang=CA> </SPAN></B></DIV>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN lang=CA style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Hemos destruido el experimento transgénico a cielo abierto de Syngenta porque entendemos que este tipo de acciones directas son la mejor manera de responder a la política de hechos consumados mediante la cual la Generalitat, el Estado y las multinacionales biotecnológicas llevan doce años imponiéndonos unilateralmente los organismos modificados genéticamente (OMG) en la agricultura y la alimentación.</SPAN></DIV>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><B><SPAN lang=CA> </SPAN></B></DIV>

Como llevan años denunciando diversos actores europeos<A title="" href="http://co119w.col119.mail.live.com/mail/RteFrame_15.1.3059.0405.html?pf=pf#129c846c9875ea94__ftn8" target=_blank rel=nofollow name=129d4ee425991549_129d09174f38a1eb_129cbb57eb62a086_129cb59e35c37d50_129c846c9875ea94__ftnref8></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN><SPAN><SPAN lang=CA style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">[8]</A>, el protocolo que han de seguir las ETN biotecnológicas para obtener la aprovación de sus semillas transgénicas está lleno de trampas e irregularidades. Entre ellas, destacan, por un lado, los varios escándalos que han salpicado a

<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN lang=CA style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Doce años después de que se iniciase el cultivo de maíz transgénico en Cataluña la aparición de decenas de casos de contaminación genética de las producciones agrarias, ecológica y convencional (contaminación de partidas de semillas, a nivel de campo, de piensos para el engorde animal y de productos para<SPAN> </SPAN>la alimentación directa humana) ha demostrado reiteradamente que la pretendida coexisténcia entre cultivos transgénicos y no transgénicos es totalmente imposible, además de absolutamente indeseable.<A title="" href="http://co119w.col119.mail.live.com/mail/RteFrame_15.1.3059.0405.html?pf=pf#129c846c9875ea94__ftn11" target=_blank rel=nofollow name=129d4ee425991549_129d09174f38a1eb_129cbb57eb62a086_129cb59e35c37d50_129c846c9875ea94__ftnref11></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN><SPAN><SPAN lang=CA style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">[11]</A> La proliferación de la

Es por eso que rechazamos frontalmente tanto los transgénicos agrícolas como la sociedad tecnoindustrial capitalista que los hace posibles y necesarios (… necesarios para que unos pocos actores muy poderosos consoliden su dominio sobre la población mundial, y perfeccionen<SPAN> </SPAN>sus estratégias de negocio). Es por eso que hacemos una llamada a pasar a la acción para destruir tanto sus cultivos transgénicos como el orden social que perpetúan los actores que los promueven.</SPAN></DIV><BR clear=all>
