face="Times New Roman">Desgraciadamente, ya están sembrándose ahora en nuestros
pueblos las nuevas cebadas híbridas de Syngenta con incorporación de su
biotecnología “Hyvido” que ha convertido una planta cultivada autógama (una
cebada no se cruza con otras cebadas) en alógama (que puede
hibridarse).</FONT></DIV>

<DIV class=datetime><FONT face="Times New Roman">La hibridación se ha forzado
cruzando<FONT style='face: "Times' new roman?> una cebada silvestre (<EM>Hordeum
vulgare</EM> ssp. spontaneum) con la cebada cultivada mediante una herramienta
biotecnológica muy controvertida, <FONT style='face: "Times' new roman?>la CMS
(siglas en inglés de “eSterilidad Masculina Citoplasmática”), rompiendo la
barrera de no cruzamiento natural que preserva la identidad de las
especies.</FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV class=datetime><FONT face="Times New Roman">Esta hibridación biotecnológica
no clásica y otras similares están claramente consideradas como productoras de
transgénicos encubiertos y aunque no están contempladas como reglamentariamente
transgénicas en la UE, en la práctica lo son. Por ello, entre otras acciones,
hay un movimiento creciente para prohibir este tipo de híbridos (tanto
intraespecíficos como interespecíficos) hoy aún tolerados en el Reglamento
Europeo de Agricultura Ecológica.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Los híbridos obtenidos a menudo son estériles
(no dan semillas viables) y otras veces se les restaura la fertilidad
introduciéndoles un gen, un cromosoma, etc, lo que les convierte en verdaderos
transgénicos <EM>de facto </EM>aunque la normativa europea no los considere
así.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Cada vez hay concernidas más especies de
cereales (incluso arroz), hortalizas, girasol, trigo, híbridos interespecíficos,
etc... obtenidos mediante estos y otros forzados biotecnológicos, cuya extensión
en nuestros campos pueden traer consecuencias graves y desconocidas en forma de
contaminaciones, problemas de salud y alergias,... además de ser socialmente
inapropiadas y consumidoras de más abonos, herbicidas y fitosanitarios químicos,
no respetar la identidad genética, cultural y nutricional de cada especie
vegetal, así como dar alimentos con menos vitalidad. </FONT></DIV>
