Juan David Díaz es hijo de Eudaldo Díaz, el asesinado ex-alcalde de El Roble, Sucre, en la Costa Caribe. Es integrante Capítulo Sucre del MOVICE. Actualmente enfrenta acoso judicial, así como amenazas en su contra por su labor como defensor de derechos humanos y por buscar justicia en el caso de su padre y las víctimas de crímenes estatales.<br>
Actúa ahora firmando la petición para una mayor protección para Juan David y otros defensores y defensoras de derechos humanos en Colombia.
