hello all, did the minor adjustments to the leaflet we had chatted about. what is missing is the community photos and some end product stuff. guessing at worst I could take some of friends near trees!!! Or we can hold off and wait for our first project day and do some then, although we might want some leaflets before then... bit chicken or egg. Can anyone chuck some stuff my way and I'll add it? Happy new lengthening days x x On Tuesday, December 10, 2013 10:24 PM, abigail gibbs <[email protected]> wrote: hmm feeling decidedly unsmart. couldn't see anything to click on. Nice one Abbie, I think it would be very good to get something together sooner rather than later. I went to the AGM of http://landworkersalliance.org.uk/ and chatted with Ollie. He is part of a Bristol copprice workers co-op. They do a lot of interesting stuff and are keen to take stuff forwards regarding access to woodlands, particularly with a view to being able to stay in the woods. Most interestingly they have found that its very easy to get access to woodland from Forestry Commission and National Trust. I'm waiting to hear from him to find out more details of how they have approached this. I'm in the area for a couple of weeks- anyone interested in a meeting?? I'd still really like to get into the woods somewhere this winter to do some stuff.... Best D On 28/12/13 12:55, abigail gibbs wrote:

Hi all I would be up for a meeting. I have neen researching into woodland burial sites and would like to get some feedback from the group as to whether this might be a possible addition to the project? I have strong feelings about how we (mis)treat death in our society. Bringing burials into the woods brings the possibility for people to reconnect with the natural world and death. It could also work on a commercial and conservation level...........??? Web sites below helpful especially the gov one which is very pro woodland burial sites and I look forward to any feedback from you guys. www.naturalburialgrounds.com. www.justice.gov.uk/.../*burials*-and.../*natural*-*burial* -grounds-guidance.pdf Cheers. Interesting the link to the gov document was broken. fixed here http://www.justice.gov.uk/downloads/burials-and-coroners/natural-burial-grou... I would support this as part of a bigger plan for a site and see no reason, with enough space, why it could not fit in. It obviously would require ownership or a very long term agreement for a piece of land. Currently I'm keen to focus my energies on action in woodlands - doing stuff with trees / timber. Getting groups of people (us lot?) together into bits of woodland etc. etc. I'd really like to cut some wood this winter that we can use to do stuff with. On 30/12/13 10:09, Spencer Thomas wrote:
