English mailing list? (Lista que envía inglesa?)
Please excuse the bad Spanish, I'm using http://babelfish.altavista.com to translate from English. I'm interested in trying UTUTO-e after seeing it on the GNU website as the only 100% free software Linux distribution. I live in the United States, though, and I don't speak Spanish. Are there any plans to create an English mailing list so we can offer opinions and get help? I'd like to help with UTUTO-e as much as possible, but I only speak English. Thank you. -- Excuse por favor a malos espaoles, yo estn utilizando http://babelfish.altavista.com para traducir de ingls. Well, your help will be very useful (mainly to make english-speaking ututo-e community grow! Up to now we do not have an english mailing list, but in the next days we will create one, and begin to help english speaers. I would like to cooperate there to help cross translations between english and spanish list (due to ututo-e developers up to now are all from Argentina, so spanish is our native language) Up to the english list is set up, please make your questions here, in english, and we'll try to help you... Excellent, that sounds fine. I do look forward to an English mailing list, however. An English board on the help forums would be nice as well.

So far, the main things I see that should be addressed are website translation issues. I'm willing to help with that, if someone would be willing to work with me on it. As for now, I guess I can edit the pages and post the fixes here.
Joel, have you downloaded ututo-e yet?
No, I have not. I'm waiting to replace my hard drive, which will probably happen tomorrow. Once that is done, I'll download it and try to install it. Are there any issues with language during the install and setup process? Does the system set itself to the proper locale if I tell it I am from the US and speak English? My background with Linux stretches over a couple years, first with Red Hat 8, then with Debian, and most recently with Gentoo. I've contributed somewhat to the communities in each, but this time I'd like to do something of value. Thanks for the help, and I look forward to working with everyone on this. -- Joel Konkle-Parker Webmaster [Ballsome.com] E-mail [[email protected]] Phone [1-662-518-1636]

Let me introduce you to some members who are usually reading - -sometimes posting- this forum. They are: - -Daniel Olivera - UTUTO-e author. - -Martín Olivera - Daniel's council -am I right Martín?- and the winner of our election for president of SOLAR Software Libre Argentina. - -Diego Saravia - author of the first argentinian GNU/Linux distribution, UTUTO (without '-e'). By the way, the suffix '-e' means 'escritorio', wich is our spanish way of naming the 'desktop'. - -Diego Calbo Elizondo and Marco Antonio, two former members of SOLAR who are working together with Daniel to support UTUTO-e. I guess that we do have a wiki to make this work easier. Wait a second, do we have a member of the Inet team here? Vlad? Diego? Fernando?
