Fwd: [CopySouth] Activist held for 'violating copyright law'
Outrageous! CopySouth was one of the groups that got behind Prof. Potel of Argentina last year when he was arrested and changed criminally with for copyright infringement. The full story is here: http://copysouth.org/portal/node/3 http://copysouth.org/portal/node/4 The charges were dropped in the end ....and in part because so many people and groups like us said " oh no you don't!" A Swazi Youth activist was arrested by a plain clothes police officer for reprinting an article from City Press, the Times of Swaziland reported on Wednesday. Sibusiso Mhlanga, a member of the banned Swaziland Youth Congress (Swayoco), was arrested after a plain clothes officer saw him request photocopies of a City Press article in Manzini. A police spokeswoman said he would be charged for violating copyright law.
