Content? Can you offer something?
Content for the Soil Hack Gathering Can you run a workshop/skill-share? Have you a burning desire to open a discussion about our soils? We are inviting you to offer your knowledge, skills, insights, experiences and gifts to the Soil Hack Gathering 2018. We aim to create a Peer to Peer learning community, which is an innovative way to break the cycle of teacher and student. In this striving we aim to break the cycle of domination and move towards freedom as inspired by Paulo Fraire. Do you or does anyone you know have a good working relationship with the soil? Would they like to come and be part of the Soil Hack learning Community? Can you think of anyone who might be interested to come along? Dates 25th-27th May, Compton Dundon, nr Street, Somerset. All the best Frank
Hi Frank As you know I would love to do this but now it seems I may still be in Italy so I cannot commit to it ☹ The pdc ends on the 24th but its likely I will want to stay around for a bit. Its a shame as I have a couple of new things I’ve been working on “ the alchemy of compost” which I did for Caroline Aitken’s permaculture students on a webinar and “mindfulness composting” which I’ve now run several times here and in Greece. There were loads of interesting people and artists involved in the Soil Forum held in Falmouth the year before the Year of soil 2014 – see http://ccanw.org.uk/soil-culture/ If you don’t already know this. Next time!? Sounds good. Yeah! I think people got allot out of it before if we could get you to team up with others using different stoves we could expand the demo into more about how the technology works, and more about how biochar works It was good we had two different styles of char last time one in a pit one in your stoves If you can think about how to make it the same and better as last time that would bve awesome. I can help you design the session if you like over emails or a chat on the phone On 03/06/2018 02:11 PM, Brian Hughes wrote:

It would be great if you could Brian. The biochar burns last year were a lovely way to spend the Saturday evening. On 6 March 2018 14:11:30 GMT, [email protected] wrote:

Biochar stoves, yes please!!!! I really want to make my own, would a ‘how to make a biochar stove’ be on the cards?? Many of us would like to knw how to make our own stove but have limited or no welding experience. If there are any super low tech methods out there that could be demonstrated – I think that could be of enormous benefit…. Anyone up for that?? Many Thanks! 😊 Charlie Sent from Mail<https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=550986> for Windows 10 From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 6, 2018 11:26 PM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Re: [soilhack-announce] Content? Don’t worry, the stack burners are low-tech. There are different configurations, but you can get started with a no-weld, no power tools version.
