Hey Folks, I was wondering if anyone would be keen to help make a Soil Hack Gathering happen this spring? We had a Feed Avalon meeting last week and decided we would be able to support the event by offering up the cabin at our Learning Centre, and allowing me to help organise it in my paid time with the co-op. If the food was bring to share, with perhaps a warm meal prepared by us and our catering collective in the evening, then the whole thing would be pretty affordable to do. I was imaging like discussed before, maybe a two day thing? Folks can offer workshops that we can timetable and then some time to discuss soil hack and next steps? What do folks think? Big thanks, Nicole -- Nicole Vosper Email: [email protected] www.feedavalon.org.uk Tel: 07477603141 Feed Avalon CIC is a social enterprise that establishes food systems that are socially & economically empowering in order to optimise food resilience in Glastonbury, Street and the surrounding areas. Hi Nicole, I would be interested, and will advertise it also with the Biodynamic Agric. group here, which has bought 40 acres of land! Most shareholders are not gardeners, but some may be interested. Josie Felce

Hi, Early May would probably work for me and I would love to help. I'm the new micro dairy farmer on the 40 acres that the biodybamic land trust bought. I'll be making some bio-fertiliser around then too which may be a useful workshop. Im happy to help organise a gathering. Could also pull out the microscope & do some microbe hunting. Also interested in what people think for a direction for Soilhack. Not much has happened, except a little bit on Twitter. We got a lot of people on this list & an ever increasing number of Twitter followers. https://twitter.com/soilhack Anyone got ideas?
I would certainly like to come to some kind of gathering and meet other soil devotees, though it will probably be a long way to come from Newcastle. As for future direction of the group, I would to suggest soilhack gets involved in our big new EU soil project, GROW http://growobservatory.org/. Its early days yet but by the time of the gathering in May I should have a clearer proposal for the group. Best wishes, Chris On Thu, Jan 12, 2017 at 1:37 PM, <[email protected]> wrote:
