Hello everyone,

This email is to inform you of the progress to date on the organizing of Commons Space at the World Social Forum. As explained in the general invitation (attached), it is an open space to collectively discuss, document, and connect within and across social movements related to the commons. We also want to open up the organizing process before the Forum takes place.

For this, we have started a Commons Space pad so that we can work together in collectively planning activities:

As you will see in the table on the pad, there are over 10 activities that are already in the course of being prepared. Please if you have any ideas, contacts, or other points, add to them to write under the respective activity, or if there is a new activity you’d like to propose, add it to the table in a new line (with your name/contact information!) and we can schedule a call of some sort to coordinate.

We are also open to ideas for documenting these sessions and using participatory forms of media so that we leave the WSF with a good record of the events. And of course, for those that will be in Montreal, we welcome you to participate in the activities during the Forum or co-organize your own.
