an important announcement of the p2p foundation
Dear friends, This is an important announcement. We probably won't give more details than this, though some formal statement in our blog may be forthcoming. A sister organisation and the p2p foundation were victims of two 'psy-ops' that came in the form of forgeries and intrusion that resulted in the blocking and email deletions of strategic relationships in both skype and gmail. What had seemed communication flukes turned out to be willful disruptions. It seems that at least since December last year my gmail box has been manipulated (this is not a figment of our imagination, it's documented), resulting in serious harm. It seems the mailboxes are now safe, though I may eventually switch more systematically to [email protected]. In the meantime, if you feel certain crucial communications were not replied to, feel free to resend, This is also an appeal for support. We need more technical support, and more financial support. Suggestions and assistance are welcome. Just as examples, I have to use a 6-year old computer with a broken keyboard, and cannot afford healthcare. When travelling abroad, I cannot afford to use my telephone. We could do a lot more with the right kind of support! Anyone concerned about our work and willing to support us in concrete ways, now is a good time! Hi Michel, I am saddened to see this but fully agree with blogs like naked capitalism and corrente engaging in major fundraisers every summer you guys must figure out how to follow suit. Hello All, No one works harder than Michel to support P2P emergence. The Foundation has very few resources. This is very disturbing news indeed. Any support is greatly appreciated. Anyone interested in making a donation can do so here http://blog.p2pfoundation.net/donate Kevin On 22 July 2013 18:56, Gordon Cook <[email protected]> wrote:

Thanks, Kevin. I've just given what I could. In the commons "one for all" has to be coupled with "all for one" when need be. george

Excerpts from Michel Bauwens's message of 2013-07-23 07:12:01 +0000:
Again, thank you,
one of the issues I'd like to raise is more consistent support from the technical hacker community,
if you know of any possibilities, thanks for letting me know, I stay supper busy with various collaborations related to moving forward with technologies for distributed secure networking! At the same time I would like to get more momentum with: http://hackers4peace.net where I would like to work with other hackers who currently may stay stuck in doing commercial gigs, and help them finding a way to receive support from community (focusing on moneyless support!) and this way have availability on supporting developments working on 'making this world a better place'. I hope developments like http://emergingleaderlabs.org , http://unmonastery.eu , http://totalism.org will help us go in such direction! I'll try to balance my technology oriented collaborations during https://ohm2013.org with some focused more on socio-economical aspects of hacker lifestyle. Do you already have some kind of online wishlist with details of support you and P2PF in general would benefit from? We could find time next week to start one together...
