The Revolution Business - the staged "Arab Spring"
This new video about the staged nature of the "Arab Spring" looks interesting. I love the bit about the fake video game created by the CIA, on how to start a revolution. As the V/O says: "today, young people don't like to read books". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpXbA6yZY-8& http://www.journeyman.tv/ The Revolution Business "Democratic change has been demanded across the Middle East. But was what seems like a spontaneous revolution actually a strategically planned event, fabricated by 'revolution consultants' long in advance?"
orchestrated to the finest details hmmm ... glad they cracked that secret to the unfolding of human history ... we can all go to sleep now, confident in the knowledge there is no human agency, only successfull and perfect conspiracies ... hi Mark here's an example of why such theories are eminently reductionist ... I could easily say that because your inaugural session was done in the building of EnlighteNext that it was a front for Andrew Cohen and engineered by them, but that wouldn't be true ... SImilarly, because the US has a democracy discourse, some organisations that fund democracy training, that doesn't mean that the Arab people, and the youth that risked their lives, have no agency ... It was a complex process with multiple causes, including to the very end actually opposition from the American government to the change ... I attented to Mekong ICT training camps in video activism and such here in thailand, funded by western liberal foundations, but attented by local activists, most of them 'progressives' .. does that makes them tool of the German state .. not at all, they look for what they can get, given the lack of resources in that area here ... One has to be mindful of such 'gifts' of course, but that doesn't mean there is a linear influence of such funding and whatever would happen in the country, Michel On Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 5:27 AM, mark jagdev <[email protected]> wrote:

Totally agree Michel, thanks for bringing out the reductionist nature of these analyses, which are so far from the truth it appears quite funny, but also sad. I remember as an immature student buying into conspiracies like this, and to some extent I still hold them as representing a potential truth (however small, if any). My mind has remained open but luckily I have sought to hold more complexity - which reductionists and their adherents seem to shy away from in favor of the simple answer. let's not be mistaken, there are conspiracies, more than one of course, but their influence is relative and just one of the factors at play ... On Mon, Jun 13, 2011 at 7:04 AM, mark jagdev <[email protected]> wrote:
