Fwd: [Commoning] Success of the Pirate Party in Berlin/Germany
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Stefan Meretz <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Sep 19, 2011 at 2:47 PM Subject: [Commoning] Success of the Pirate Party in Berlin/Germany To: [email protected] Hi all, yesterday the Pirate Party entered the Berlin House of Deputies. They jumped over the 5%-threshold which 8.9% of the votes. This was quite a surprise. All of their candidates won a seat. The success was so big, that some of the seats won in the parallel communal elections will remain unused, because they have not enough candidates. It is expected, that Berlin will get a socialdem-green government. In the US, it's becoming increasingly obvious that political transformation is coming from the bottom up (towns, cities, municipalities and states), not the top down. The Free State Project is one of the most mature efforts to reform the nation by reforming the state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_State_Project On Mon, Sep 19, 2011 at 3:57 AM, Michel Bauwens <[email protected]>wrote:
