Here I have list of other networks I would like too work on adding soon: http://typewith.me/7T78Jc1Ng4 Please feel free to add links with recommendations of networks which you see related (preferably which have participants worldwide). Also, if you know people working on those networks who can help with providing geografical data about those networks, please help me get in touch with them =) Thanks and I look forward to hear your feedback! elf Pavlik http://wwelves.org/perpetual-tripper (living strictly moneyless for over 1.5 year) _______________________________________________ GiftEconomy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gifteconomy.org/listinfo.cgi/gifteconomy-gifteconomy.org -- P2P Foundation: http://p2pfoundation.net - http://blog.p2pfoundation.net Connect: http://p2pfoundation.ning.com; Discuss: http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/p2p-foundation Updates: http://del.icio.us/mbauwens; http://friendfeed.com/mbauwens; http://twitter.com/mbauwens; http://www.facebook.com/mbauwens Commons Strategies Group, http://www.commonsstrategies.org/
Thanks to Dante and Michel for relaying! ----- Hi elf Pawlik, its good to see the idea of moneyless societies grow, even though it seems still to be in its infancy, if not embryonic state. one step of maturing would be to identify local structures that allow for multifaceted reliable moneyless life. The key question is how to replenish resources, so there is an intrinsic relation to the commons, but the commons are also a phenomenon that needs a bit of new understanding in our time. We have a global world and many layers of commons must come into interplay. it would be good to also include and make visible the traditional networks that focus on this, including some monastic and community approaches. With the advent of the internet, their global resonance is now possible. Maybe the lifestyle itself helps us to bridge between cultures. I yesterday also posted some links to Stefan (who is currently the editor of demonetize.it, besides me), also from weblogs that could feed into our "planet" ("zerocurrency" was one of them). If you google on "sans argent" or "moneyless" you also find a couple of internet-fora discussing the issue - more out of "fun" than out of any sense of existential necessity, it seems, but anyway. We must also not forget a whole range of anarchist and communist groups that - finally - discover moneyless and wageless society to be what they should strive for (some of them, "the best of their generations", see i.e. the situationists or a large part of autonomist marxism in the US knew it all the time...). The World Socialist Movement is a case in point. Also in "The Coming Insurrection" and the "Communiqué from an Absent Future", moneylessness and the abolishment of exchange are core message (though not in the centre of reflection). I would especially be interested in workers collectives going in that direction since I believe that it will be crucial to become means of production on a large scale into our hands - that is where the power of the state and capital has its core (I am not Foucaultian in this case, it seems...). Maybe one must take a much closer look on the Spanish speaking world (but I don't really understand Spanish).
Thanks to Dante and Michel for relaying!

Hi elf Pawlik,
its good to see the idea of moneyless societies grow, even though it seems still to be in its infancy, if not embryonic state.
one step of maturing would be to identify local structures that allow for multifaceted reliable moneyless life. We have a global world and many layers of commons must come into interplay.
