dear friends, May I ask your support in diffusing this important new publication to a wider audience, by diffusing it into your own networks ? Many many thanks! Michel Bauwens ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Stacco Troncoso <[email protected]> Date: Tue, May 9, 2017 at 9:23 PM Subject: Commons Transition and P2P: a Primer To: [email protected] Hello commoners! We're very happy to share the P2P Foundation's latest publication, co-edited with the Transnational Institute. It’s called "Commons Transition and P2P: a primer" and was a collaboration of work involving Michel, Bauwens Vasilis Kostakis, Ann Marie Utratel, and me. We believe that a Commons Transition implies developing tools and policies that facilitate open, participatory input across society. This type of transition is meant to prioritize the needs of the people most affected by changing political, cultural and environmental circumstances — but what if those people aren’t getting the message? The Commons Transition Primer project addresses that concern, and this magazine-style publication is just the start. We hope it’s a good step forward in how we communicate and advocate for P2P and commons-based practices. This isn’t a basic “Commons for dummies” effort, though. We’ve worked hard to retain the complexity of the movement, but with inviting language and images to draw people in. In fact, the ECA is one of the featured case studies to show that the Commons is thriving and coalescing into new configurations at all levels. Please read it; according to online tools we’ve consulted, it only takes 35 minutes! Here are the two links to share: - http://commonstransition.org/commons-transition-p2p-primer/ - https://www.tni.org/en/publication/commons-transition-and-p2p TNI have also prepared a little promo vid here: https://youtu.be/zHQVUtz0XMY We’d be super grateful if you would share it with your colleagues in social media or, if you feel inspired, perhaps you’d write a short article or review.
