Fwd: Common Healing - trailer for the feature documentary on the commons
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Kevin Hansen <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Jun 23, 2011 at 10:43 AM Subject: Common Healing - trailer for the feature documentary Hi Everyone - Over the past year, we have filmed in Europe, Brazil, Mexico and the US Gulf of Mexico states for a feature-length documentary on the important subject of the Commons, with the help of many, many people - including all of you. The 20-min draft trailer for this film, tentatively entitled "Common Healing<http://vimeo.com/25486271>," is now on Vimeo. This film is moving forward as I write, but this trailer version may be useful already, in some situations. Newer trailer versions will be posted occasionally - probably on both Vimeo and on PierreTerre.com. 1. We still need to film more "commons-in-action" so please send me a note if you know of one amenable to documentary coverage!! 2. A short list of "Twelve Benefits of a Commons-Based Approach" is included as text with the video. Please forward thoughts to me for incorporation, as possible within the context of a larger film (and likely including short videos highlighting special related topics...). We are still early in the process, and have a lot to do to produce the final documentary, so your comments will help. Thank you so very, very much for all of your help - it has been an inspiring process. All of you helped to make this possible, and some of you appear on screen in this trailer version and/or the credits: http://vimeo.com/25486271 Thanks for all the very good work of your endeavors. Kevin, I¹m hugely excited about your project! I¹m the co-founder of the Commons Learning Alliance, and the School of Commoning, a London-based commons education group http://www.facebook.com/SchoolOfCommoning . Tomorrow, we will have a workshop on Democratic Mobilisations, the Commons, and Communities booked by almost 60 people, for which we will premier a remix of clips from the current democracy movements in Spain and Greece, and commons vids. Can we use a few minutes of your trailer, giving all the due credit at the end of our remix? Looking forward to establish a mutually supportive, long-term relationship with your group! in commoning solidarity, george
