myself i have no problem that services of companies like Google censor something, i rather see problem in what WE do ourselves - build our online experience around such services often not paying attention to how they work... BTW i see p2pfoundation still using google tracker for web statistics, on positive side it looks like open technologies like piwik get more appreciation lately - "We are happy to announce that Piwik is ranked #2 in the top of web analytics tools in Germany. A total of 13% of German websites .de that are using an analytics tool have chosen the open source alternative Piwik." - http://piwik.org/blog/2011/09/announcing-piwik-meetup-in-munich-germany-on-o... ;)

Hi Michel, we can install pWik in coming month. I'm cool with removing google analytics as long as we take the data with us. Sure there is a clearly documented process to make the move as so many have made it. /J On Mon, Oct 17, 2011 at 7:25 PM, Michel Bauwens <[email protected]>wrote:

Hi James,

even if we couldn't get our data out i would see it as that much more motivation to stop using it... please let me know if i can help in any way =)
