Hi Michel,Our future plans include exploration of the Extreme Manufacturing model as a scalable route to funding open hardware R&D.This model combines production and eduction. We produce real, high power goods. We involve the peer community. We provide immersion education. People are hungry for unleashed innovation and productivity. Along these lines, we are holding our most ambitious MicroHouse build to develop replicable hybrid CEB/modular houses, as shown in part by https://vimeo.com/81180775Except open source for scalability. We are having our MicroHouse Extreme Manufacturing workshop on Sep 25-30 - building on our prior experience:This is also a special invite to anyone who has experience with CNC furniture (as in OpenDesk, etc) - to get low cost admission for helping out. We have a 4'x4' CNC router with Mach 3 and want to utilize it for the workshop - desks, chairs, sofa, bookshelves - furniture of all sorts for the MicroHouse. Your role would be to work with us remotely to make this happen - and possibly arrive early. Please pass this offer on to any of your hacker friends. We are doing an experiment in radical collaboration, in that we are having the open source community generate the designs for the workshop. We invite people to join our Design Sprints -http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Design_SprintsFuture plans involve full WikiHouse integration to our methods, and going off grid with solar thermal, wood gas for engines, heat and power, solar concentrator electric, and wind. Please post this on your channels as an announcement. Thanks,MarcinOn Wed, Nov 17, 2010 at 9:30 AM, Michel Bauwens <michelsub2004@gmail.com> wrote:
