Dmytri,

why not couch your argument in the following way:

"Amongst the diverse forces arguing or mobilizing for the basic income, we should be aware that there are neoliberal forces, with an entirely specific agenda that is dangerous for xxx", and then make your arguments

that way we don't have to conclude that you meant the whole thing is a neoliberal plot : I can assure you that I'm not the only one who believes that what was written was what you meant; on many fb groups the article is simply dismissed because of it, and it does a disservice to the interesting critical elements in it ; they won't read it because the title implies something that is obviously empirically false

the two major problems with your article for me are this apparent reduction of the diverse UBI movement to one single plot, and  your presumption to predict the outcome of the class or social struggle in a defeat

people would benefit from knowing that this is not what you meant; the second is just a predictive opinion, that people can disagree with, it doesn't affect the credibility of the whole article

the rest of the article is stimulating,

Michel

Those two claims are not mutually exclusive, and nobody, not me, nor anybody else, has denied that second claim.

Yet, your continuing to make this argument has hopelessly derailed this discussion.

Best,
