Subject: [commoning] New Videos Explore the Political Potential of the Commons
To: commoning@lists.commons-institut.org, wsf2016@lists.p2pfoundation.net

Dear friends

The video “Les communs dans l’espace politique,” (Commons in the
political space) is online :http://wiki.remixthecommons.org/index.php?title=Les_communs_dans_l’espace_politique
Within the collection of 16 interviews made at the WSF at Montreal last
summer.

And David Bollier has made a post on his blog on it: New Videos Explore the Political Potential of the Commons
http://www.bollier.org/blog/new-videos-explore-political-potential-commons

According to David:

"The overview video is no introduction to the commons, but a
wonderfully insightful set of advanced commentaries about the
political and strategic promise of the commons paradigm today.

The overview video (“Les communs dans l’espace politique,” with
English [and Spannish] subtitles as needed) is striking in its focus
on frontier developments: the emerging political alliances of
commoners with conventional movements, ideas about how commons should
interact with state power, and ways in which commons thinking is
entering policy debate and the general culture."

The complete collection of 16 interviews is available at :
http://wiki.remixthecommons.org/index.php?title=Commons_Space
(each in its original language).

Each video will be progressively completed with its transcript in the original language and with translations when it is or will be available. If you want to contribute to this work of publication/translation, please let us know by email or create your account in the website. Thank you very much for your contribution in advance.

Some screenings are already planned in Quebec with some of the speakers
(schedule to follow). If you want to organize yours locally, we
can provide HD files with embedded subtitles (En, Es, Fr).

Do not hesitate to invent other uses of this collection as part of your own political, cultural and educational activities and please share the results with us.

Best
Alain and Fred
