I spent two hours incorporating some of Stephen Downes excellent material in our wiki,

see http://www.downes.ca/files/FreeLearning.pdf (which is by the way a good example of a best of bk we are envisaging ourselves)

Could you also incorporate this as a series in our blog, under the heading "Essay of the Week" (to replace a book of the week the first available week)

I would suggest for the serialization in three episodes, the following entries

see below or in 'recentchanges' of the wiki:

* defining open content licenses

* defining open educational resources

* a third one of your choice ... (or not, 2 entries is fine as well)
