Hey Michel,

I've almost finished reading the book you loaned me. What a valuable resource it is.
Here's what I just posted on the Skype dialog, Open Collective:

Hey, I've been reading Pay Pal Wars by their former director of marketing, Eric Jackson. I was not aware of the revolutionary vision of PayPal founder, Peter Thiel. Jackson's book is a very  engaging story and enlightening document. See a big piece of it at Google Books.

I strongly encourage you to read at least Chapter 1, as well as the last Chapter, "Sell Out" and the Epilog.
This book was published in 2004, shortly after Pay Pal sold out to eBay.
There are many lessons to be learned from the Pay Pal experience about what it takes to bring a significant innovation to market and to scale.
We need to find news ways of doing that which do not depend upon conventional business models or VC financing.

Share it around if you wish.
Tom
