Dear Michel,

You may be curious what's been happening at the Post Growth Institute! There are many seeds sprouting in what is set to be a transformative year for us and our global economy.

We have gained momentum on significant projects, hired three new team members, and brought on several enthusiastic volunteers with valuable skills. We are grateful for your ongoing support which has made this possible.

We wanted to take a moment to share some of our plans to build on all we've achieved so far.
 
2019 PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES
• Unveiling a theory of post-growth economics on our new website
• Planned completion of the How on Earth book and Not for Profit Handbook
• Continued development of our credit union study
• Launch of Community Activation Training for Offers and Needs Market facilitators
• Building software to connect Offers and Needs Market participants
• Expansion and support of the Post Growth Alliance, which has now grown to 63 members and an average audience reach of 21,000 people per post
• Unified rebranding and visual redesign across all of our sites and initiatives
• Launch of a regular, multimedia newsletter

UPCOMING EVENTS
• February 10th, in Ashland, OR: Rogue Valley Offers and Needs Market.
• March 8th, in Ashland, OR. Donnie will speak on "The Coming Economic Crash and what you Can do About it" at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
• April 24-26, in Malaga, Spain: New Economy and Social Innovation Forum. Donnie will facilitate sessions on The Future of Finance.
• May 10th, in Ashland, OR: Women’s Leadership Conference. Crystal will facilitate an Offers and Needs Market for up to 100 participants.
Big News!
In 2009 we started the #postgrowth Twitter hashtag. Over the years its usage has slowly grown. Until last year. In 2018, the hashtag exploded! In big part due to an article in the Guardian Newspaper and an associated post-growth conference, as well as a petition to the European Union to consider post-growth planning. Together we truly are changing the world(view)!
