Subject: [NetworkedLabour] (Open Call) Emergenc(i)es - Control and Calculation :: Improvised Publics :: Inheriting Liberation
Emergenc(i)es is an invitation to consider the emergency of the current historical moment.
The exhibition will dwell in the question of emergence within emergency.
Performance, education activities, visual art, screenings,
installations, workshops and a library-cum-pharmacy will create time
and space to diagnose, explore and understand the world we live in.
Control and Calculation
The
exhibition aims to provide a critical space in which to probe the
implications of digital infrastructures and how they shape everyday
lives.
We
therefore want to include visual art (graphic design, video,
infographics) which explore the implications of smart cities for
- the surveillance and management of populations,
- democracy now and 'to come',
- generating of value & sustaining the information economy
- consent and freedom
