Okay, so I figured out a few things about Musix since my last message: * On login screen, select the English session and there is much more translated. =) Also, I had to manually set my keyboard to American, it would be helpful if the installer asked and did this for me. * For some reason, the realtime kernel reboots okay now. It didn't for a while though. but I've still got big problems with sound. I used Agnula fine for some time, but with Musix, my AC97 onboard sound card emits a crackling distortion on audio that is playing. This problem has at times disappeared, only to reappear partway through my session. Currently, it does it all the time. Is there something I can do about this? I don't have the problem in SuSE or Windows on the same box. Thank you kindly. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! are you using JACK? In that case, the crackilg problems goes out by presing the J button in the taskbar -- Marcos Guglielmetti * Director del desarrollo de Musix GNU+Linux, 100% Software Libre * Descarga el CD de Musix: (www.musix.org.ar) (www.pc-musica.com.ar/musix) * Videos, programas y otras cosas en: ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix/ * Reporte de errores a: https://www.musix.org.ar/wiki/index.php?title=Problemas-Bugs

I had a lot of crackle noises with my AC97 onboard audio and the only way to solve it was to disable the onboard audio in the BIOS and buy a cheap-but-good Creative PCI64 (yeap, the same card formerly known as Ensoniq AudioPCI). No more crackles and noises since then. At least, not unintended :-P -- Wayfarer El Jueves, 8 de Junio de 2006 20:46, DCZX escribió:
