Sugiero utilizar Kcontrol (Panel de Control de KDE) para casi cual quier configuración que tenga que ver con la internacionalzación. Rodei o primeiro comando e apareceu uma tela para reconfigurar todo o Xserver. Como fiquei com medo, fechei o terminal do KDE e, agora, quando rodo o mesmo comando dá erro... ¿Qué sucede si corres: dpkg -reconfigure -a ? He instalado Xorg sin problemas: aconsejo instalarlo dado que hace un tiempo en las listas de mail de DeMuDi reportaron (era una suposición) que se producen menos problemas de xruns con xorg que con xfree86. No lo instalé antes en Musix porque también se habían reportado problemas con diferentes programas, pero creo que el tiempo pasado es suficiente como para que haya sido bien testeado, así que aconsejo instalarlo. Yo personalmente estoy logrando excelentes resultados con jack configurado con prioridad -P89 (desde JACK Control se puede cambiar), una latencia de 2.x ms, y xorg, realmente anda todo muy estable y bien incluso con rosegarden y cualquier otro programa.

Hola: With this command you can configure the xserver.You must change only the related parameters to the keyboard and let the others as is.All the changes will go to XF86Config-4 or xorg.conf. There is no problem if you have a backup of the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or /etc/X11/xorg.conf .Only replace the malformed file with your backup and everything should work again as it was before the disaster. There is another option maybe not too elegant.Start your computer with a live cd (probably a knoppix) that has your languaje settings ok and copy the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or xorg.conf from the live system to your computer overwriting your current file.Don't forget to do a backup to avoid the panic 8-\ . Hope this help.

Claro, es lo que queríamos hacer, lo que sucedió es que luego de actualizar todo KDE parece que hay cosas que quedaron mal configuradas. Puedes arreglar ese problema escribiendo esto en consola (como root) ln -s /etc/init.d/kdm /etc/rc5.d/S99kdm Cuéntanos si funciona, acá funcionó.
