discrepancy between evil and vim in j motion at bottom of screen
Hi, Frank and list: this is a minor discrepancy, I just want to confirm if it intended. I hit L to get to bottom of window, then I press j. in vim, screen scrolls down just one line but evil recenters the bottom to the center of screen. Is this designed to be different from vim? Thanks for your time, Jim.

Well, it's by Emacs design. Evil is merely a set of key-bindings, but scrolling, moving and so on are (more or less) the usual Emacs functions, so scrolling like this is an Emacs feature. Have a look at [1] for more information about scrolling. Frank [1] http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/SmoothScrolling
