Request for educational resources and literature
Dear all, I am supervising a student who is working on a thesis examining the response indigenous communities of La Guajira have to green energy discourses in the media. Can anyone suggest literature pertaining to investigations that revolve around how media constructs notions of development based on hegemonic economic activities/indicators? Additionally pointing to literature that details how communities construct multi-dimensional views of development that challenge traditional development discourses would also be very helpful. -- The truth is that many things on which your future health and prosperity depend are in dire jeopardy: climate stability, the resilience and productivity of natural systems, the beauty of the natural world, and biological diversity. It is worth noting that this is not the work of ignorant people. It is, rather, largely the result of work by people with BAs, BSs, LLBs, MBAs, and PhDs. (Orr, 1991)
