Dear Steven and others
Thanks for forwarding this interview . I heard it now. Very nice
I have one question which is for the whole group.
While Clara's arguments against Capitalism and  hopes of overturning its hegemony are welcome, I  did not find  her articulating very strongly a critique of "Industrialism" , an ideology of unlimited material growth. While she did mention approvingly of "Participatory Budgeting"  , there  are today so many alternatives in rural areas all over the world whose economics-politics-society-technologies-core values  can be broadly described as "anti-Industrialism" , that I hope her book says something about them too.

That's the name of Clara Mattei's new book.  I just watched the best short (40 minute) analysis of capitalism I have ever seen in her interview on British TV..  She's an Italian professor of economics at the University of Tulsa and she was absolutely brilliant!  It is must viewing for your classes if you teach but it really is worth your 40 minutes to watch it.  It starts US/Europe oriented but ends with Gramsci and the Global South.

Best,
Steve
