For five years, we have gathered to ask the most fundamental question: Why are we reimagining education? and that is because how we learn changes how we live. REC is a space where reimagining is understood as a living cycle — rich with ups and downs, twists and turns, and journeys inward and outward. 

 

In our early years, we began unraveling systems that no longer serve us. We discovered strength in plurality, grounded learning in the wisdom of our territories, and embraced embodiment and playfulness, inviting our whole selves into learning.

 

This year, as we host our 5th online conference, we are ready to learn from and be inspired by the changing cycles of our collective work.  This conference is an emergent research experiment and a living laboratory for critical pedagogy. We will explore the wisdom of the Earth and its elements to guide us.
