Retirement as social security La jubilación como seguridad social The mandatory state pension system is one of many systems biased by age, income, activity and even locality of residence. In this scheme, a third part of the citizens contribute while only a tenth of the population receives the devaluated "benefit". In the end, this is not a "benefit" given that people have to pay for this in a compulsory way, to a state entity and without options to choose other providers. The devaluation of the benefits, thanks to the inflation, aging and the permanent reduction of jobs, are proof of the permanent inequality of the State towards people. It is urgent to reduce social discrimination, through the granting of social protection with direct universal income for consumption, based on a market economy and taxation. If the State assures a minimum incentive in social security for all the citizens with a national identity document, since the very moment of birth, minors and rest of the population will also be included, without distinction of formality or informality of working conditions. The State must provide a subsistence economic quota for this millennium; this, I assure, will dignify the people. Also, States would have a greater capacity to dedicate themselves to public security, public administration, and justice, which are their main obligations. The practice and reality of the people's own decision-making activity, through banking and debit for their consumption, is a comprehensive proposal of concepts such as human and social rights. |
