Unfortunately we got our wires a little crossed and used the theme "Share Happiness" which was associated with IDOH 2019 until quite recently. When the new theme was announced, we had already started communications (including the brief for our speakers) so were unable to change the theme.

This is an annual event for us which is a really fun night and very successful.

As you're hopefully aware, AfH runs the main campaign site for IDOH which is www.dayofhappiness.net

We've just put live some changes for this year's theme which is "Happier Together" - focusing on our common humanity (as an antidote to polarisation and us-vs-them) and the importance of togetherness & community.

This also links to the theme of this year's World Happiness Report which will be "Happiness & Community" (due to be published on 20 March).

We've also updated the resources on the IDOH page to include the AfH app and calendars - and the site also now has a live feed of IDOH-related posts from Instagram and Twitter too.

It would be wonderful to hear about any plans you have for promoting the day in your countries - and also how this might be linked to the "Happier Together" idea.

here in the Czech republic we have started preparations for the International Happiness Day, program is under preparation but what is clear:
1) during the day we will promote realization of the different initiatives in local communities (celebrations/ good deeds/ happiness events, WS) via our network, in social media and at our workplaces
2) together with Happiness@Work we prepare mini conference on the Happiness topic with different speakers, including short presentations and some mini WS to try something based on positive psychology interventions

Both initiatives are promoted on our AfH CR Facebook page if you want to follow up the program further. (In Czech but someone has recently explained to me FB has a translate button.)

Looking forward to hear about your initiatives, let´s inspire ourselves!
